I attended the Fall Career & Job Fair as a volunteer helping attendees check in to the event. Most were dressed in business formal attire, with a file (most likely their resumes) in their hands. The key to a good first impression starts with physical appearance, as well as the appearance of the resume. I recently landed a part-time job, and my manager told me that he instantly knew he wanted to hire me when I handed him my resume on nice, double-sided flyer paper.
